Inventory Control Specialist

What is the position?
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for material control of field inventories in company owned or third party yards, assisting field personnel with materials movement and field ticket approvals, assisting in procurement as needed and with guidance of Purchasing Manager.
What will you do?
As an Inventory Control Specialist you will:
Interface with field personnel, engineering staff, procurement, and accounting, to ensure material availability and timely processing of invoices.
Ensure that Material Transfers are completed in a timely manner.
Submit regular cycle counts for comparison to Company system.
Coordinate repairs and exchanges where necessary to improve material availability.
Assist with disposition of excess and obsolete equipment
Participate with physical inventories.
Interfaces with suppliers in field locations, as required.
Periodic review and audit invoices to ensure pricing and terms are accurate.
Work closely with inventory control personnel to reduce on hand inventory levels, ensure proper handling, and billing of goods and services.
Provide security of a remote site with a 5-day monitoring schedule.
Screen all visitors at the front gates.
Complete a daily activity report and/or other reports.
Enforce regulations designed to prevent breaches of security.
Exercise judgment and use discretion in dealing with emergencies and security violations.
Log on and off a computer; compose, send and access e-mails; record time in a PC-based timekeeping application; access secure Internet sites; and navigate to files in a Windows operating system (save and retrieve files).
What are the requirements?
Inventory control experience in E & P preferred
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Team oriented
Ability to prioritize and work independently
2-4 years experience with an E & P required
Working knowledge of OCTG, wellhead, production equipment, valves and fittings, & line pipe
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Enertia experience a plus
Travel to field locations, as required
On-call to support emergency requirements
1-3 years of increasing job responsibilities, primarily in security, construction and/or general labor industry
Physically able to perform job tasks, including lifting at least 50 lb. alone
Must have basic computing skills
Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, customer service and good communication skills
Ability to work in environments with exposure to all weather conditions and temperature extremes
Ability to read and comply with project direction contained in project-specific plans and procedures
Motivated and willing to work alone in remote site with little to no supervision
Must have a valid driver's license
Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record and comply to random drug screening

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
